Some of you read my 2017 Fitspiration and likely wondered…did she give up and buddy up with her chubby side? No, but I did buddy up one night with my husband and even though in the OK window of time (so much for that rhythm method), got knocked up again…and then increasingly sick to my stomach and tired with two other kids to keep up with. Add to that packing and unpacking for two different household moves, one in state and one out of state.
Excuses are a dime a dozen, I know, I know.
Regardless and in all honesty, except for the first month after I wrote the post…nothing was accomplished in the tone and lift department unless you count boxes…I lifted a lot of boxes. Until I got too prego to lift them anymore. Then I just packed them on a rolling chair, taped them up and rolled the chair over to where I wanted the box to reside.
Box lifting is not = to or > than lifting weights or body weights in correct motions however.
So 2017 was a complete wash in the workout department. In fact the 3rd pregnancy has probably worsened the Diastasis Recti from the 2nd pregnancy that I was trying to correct before! So I’m going to have to do double duty this year to fix that probably. Yay me.
Baby Girl is beautiful and very needy currently- I can’t seem to put her down for long; so training this year should be interesting until she grows out of this “Mommy must hold me at all times” stage. My neck and upper back is in severe protest to this current arrangement…which is a later topic to stay tuned for in future! Yes this neck/back thing is a big problem and I will soon report a solution!!! Soon.
Back to 2018. It’s going to be an interesting albeit hard journey. A lot of things have happened and come to my awareness since having Anjali and situations are going to make things very difficult for me to workout. However, I’m determined to still have something good to focus on, something I’ve wanted to push towards and allowed myself to be derailed from too often, so this is it.
I am currently 140 pounds with very little muscle tone and a pooch to prove it.
Why yes, funny you should ask!!! I am vain enough to not show you the before until I have the after shot to go with it. 😉
But I will take photos of my fitness journey along the way and document my progress. My goal is to be a fit and very toned 120 by the end of 2018. If I reach that goal sooner…fabulous! But given the circumstances I’m giving myself a wider timeframe to do it. The goal is still the same you can read about it here: My 2017 Fitspiration.
